Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Qi Z — 16 Oct 2013
The "dude" becomes a counter-social icon after this movie. Yes he has refused the mainstream life but he lives on a fuller self-awareness and self-command than most people. His only token possession -- the rug that "ties the rooms together" -- becomes the visible thread traversing other lives more anxious, dangers, or deluded than his.
