Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Steve K — 24 Feb 2014
The Big Lebowski is not a good movie, as many a misguided viewer has opined. Rather, it is a bunch of good actors saying and doing funny things. But the film itself is disjointed with nothing at its center.
It does, however, illustrate why the Coen Brothers are so very good. Their movies still feature actors saying and doing funny things, but they're doing it in support of great stories that hold together as they move right along.
