Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Frank V — 21 May 2014
The Dude abides. Shut up Donny. You don't fuck with the Jesus. The Coen brothers' cult classic The Big Lebowski is a comedy goldmine not to be messed with. Although the acting is pitch perfect and the direction is inciting and thoroughly inventive, the star of the movie is the incredible writing.
Each of the characters are memorable from main characters like the Dude and Walter to very small characters like Jesus and Brandt. The whole movie wraps about to end up being one big joke inter-spliced with really really funny situations, and endlessly quotable lines.
A classic, and one of my favorites. 5/5.
