Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Gustavo O — 16 Dec 2015
Probably my favourite film from The Coen Brothers. Both Jeff Bridges and John Goodman's finest performances. John Turturro is priceless as Jesus. Peter Stormare and the German nihilists are comedy gold.
The soundtrack is quality. My first introduction to Beefheart. The sequences with 'Kenny Rogers and the First Edition's I just dropped in (to see what condition my condition was in)' and 'Bob Dylan's The Man in me' are genius.
Goodman steals every scene. A serious twitch off Reid.
