Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Alex R — 08 Dec 2014
John Goodman's character was great, and it was fun seeing Philip Seymour Hoffman in a comedy role, but the film as a whole was pretty stupid. There was no real plot to speak of, which was disappointing considering the talent of the cast.
I think the biggest problem for me was that Bridge's character, while mildly amusing at times, was a complete buffoon, which made it impossible to take the story seriously.
