Mark Wahlberg plays the same everyman schmuck in every movie. However, this is the right movie for the role and he shines. Every actor plays their character just over-the-top enough to make this a wonderful gem.
Sure, it's silly, but it knows that it's silly and it just doesn't care. So much fun.
