Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Grant G — 20 Mar 2009
I'm glad I saw this. Tight story, hit all the beats of a classic Arch with the inciting incident at the beginning.
Well acted. Enjoyed watching a young Lee Marvin.
Only thing was that the "underbelly" seemed a little bleached and disinfected for what it could have been.
*SPOILER ALERT*.
And the ending of the climax was very improbable. Too bad Mr. Lang didn't research what women with multiple gunshot wounds really look, sound and behave like!
