Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Private U — 14 May 2008
We all find compelling good vs evil stories with big archetypes like the kind of hero who will fight the nastiness no matter what the consequences. the point is not the lack of naturalism but the psychological game of symbols.
it also helps if it looks fantastic with snappy dialogue and great set pieces.
