Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Alexandre L — 16 Feb 2010
A classic noir starring Glenn Ford (the "Jake Gyllenhaal" of the '50's). It starts out with a cop blowing his brains out, a steadily gets darker and grittier from there.
It incorporates a a few plot elements I was surprised to see in a film of this era, even a noir. Definitely a favorite.
