Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Matthew C — 20 Nov 2010
Don't mess with Glen Ford, and seriously, don't mess with his family. That's the lesson you should learn from this film. Ford is a revenge fueled beast who isn't willing to look the other way when the corruption of his city starts to show.
This is a violent, brutal film. I guess when you open the film with a suicide, you're setting a certain tone. An excellent crime film. Great cast and a good story.
