(1987) The Big Easy.
THRILLER/ MYSTERY.
The first hour is just one big set up to the amusing half hour where it centers on attractive D.A. Anne played by Ellen Barkin whose being called up to investigate some corruption that's arising on one of New Orleans Police departments. She's being introduced to one of the departments top detectives by the name of Det. Remy McSwain played by Dennis Quaid who was supposed to be working on a case about some gang style murders. But as the movie is progressed, it is soon learned that the murderers or gang style killings are somehow connected to the corruption of that particular New Orleans Police Department!
As forementioned, the first hour is just one big introduction to introduce the two leading characters of Det. Remy McSwain and D.A. Anne Osborne who're constantly butting heads since he and along with his other fellow officers bend laws to favor themselves as well as others but hasn't been involved with any serious offences until more revelations about the gang style killings that things become more interesting.
2.5 out of 4.
