Review of The Big Clock (1948) by Jason C — 30 Jul 2009
While not mentioned as often as films like Double Indemnity, The Big Sleep, or Kiss Me Deadly, this work from the "classic period" of film noir can hold its own. Fluidly shot by director John Farrow, it is always interesting and often funny as well.
A fine cast, led by Ray Milland helps. As is often the case though, Charles Laughton steals the show as the bad guy. Anyone interested in film noir shouldn't miss this clever and entertaining flick.
