Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Sarah K — 23 Jul 2007
The 80s produced some wonderfully warm and touching films. I didn't really like these characters at first, being so self-centred and jaded, but that was intended. We first see their flaws, then we see the powerful bond they share and flashes of the hopeful and idealistic kids they used to be, and even though I'm much younger than these characters I connected with their struggles with the real world.
The soundtrack of course was amazing, and the subtle ensemble cast made this the gem it is today.
