Review of The Big Bounce (2004) by Blake E — 24 Jul 2007
A decent but confusing con caper made better by a good cast and beautiful scenery. The typical stereotyping and misrepresentation of life in Hawaii is minimal at most, as Oahu is used mostly for story set-up and backdrop purposes. The interstitial landscape and surf footage is equally fun to gawk at as Sara Foster, who is quite possibly the hottest woman in film today.
Numerous and unnecessary plot twists aside, The Big Bounce isn't the disasterpiece everyone claims it to be but it falls flat in the third act and serves better as a showcase of Oahu's shoreline scenery.
