Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Paul J — 02 Aug 2007
William Wyler was as elegant a director as Hollywood has ever seen. The sophistication within each and every frame is humbling. This is epic and clean storytelling with emotionally devastating characters.
A beautiful almost novelistic approach, dealing with the after-effects of war.
