Review of The Best Two Years (2004) by Steven J — 02 Apr 2005
In short: An excellent movie, if you don't understand LDS culture you'll still love this.
In long: This movie is really good, shot in a beautiful location with what a small time movie should have:good characters. Kirby Heybourne shows great range as the greenie and doesn't steal the spotlight. Also, the movie is funny with a point, it's not forced, just funny. On top of that, it's universal, I have a non-mormon friend who watched this movie without a problem, he didn't feel preached at, he just felt like he had watched a good movie. I will be going on a mission in less then a year, and this makes me want to go all the more.
