Review of The Best Offer (2013) by Aaron C — 25 Aug 2013
Tornatore and Morricone once again team up to produce a stirring work of art. Not quite in the vein of Cinema Paradiso or The Legend of 1900, but more akin to Hugo, with a quirky human element. Rush plays his auctioneer character to a tee, and was simply a delight to watch from start to finish.
It makes me want to pick up a teeny wooden handle-less gavel and knock it all over the place :).
