Review of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012) by Xander K — 22 Oct 2012
It's certainly cute and makes you feel good, but it's also all quite superficial. We're teased with but never actually given character depth/development. The result is almost charactatures (for example, Maggie Smith is "the racist one" who gets a little less racist as the film progresses without us really understanding why the shift happens).
