The cast is first rate and they deliver first rate performances. That is your three stars. Why this rating does not climb further is because the whole thing reeks of a set up. You just know that everything is going to come to a "happy" and logical ending with lots of frank talk, tears and making up.
It takes the originality out of the piece.
