I adore Peter Greenaway, I don't care what anyone says, but this is one of his worst. This lapse into melodrama is unconvincing and humorless, like somebody convinced him not to make a Greenaway picture.
Not even Dennehy's brilliant performance, decent music, and great cinematography can't save it. Oh yeah, and Chloe Webb is unwatchable.
