Review of The Belko Experiment (2017) by Therantinganchor R — 28 Mar 2017
The Belko Experiment is a fun, enjoyable, and twisted film. The actors were good in their roles. John Gallagher Jr. and Tony Goldwyn were both good in their roles. The rest of the cast was fine, but nothing spectacular.
The film definitely delivers in blood and gore. The violence is brutal. I loved every second of it. The premise brings you in, and the film isn't dragged down by a long runtime. But the film lacks any compelling characters.
The characters are over the top, and sometimes just plain dumb. They weren't very well written. But it was fun watching them die. Also, the film lacks any social commentary, which is fine, but disappointing.
Overall, this was an entertaining thrill ride. What the film lacks in good characters, it makes up for in bloody, gory, and brutal violence.
