Ryan Gosling is unbelievable, his lines are good and the scene with the sensitivity training is superb (I'd give these aspects 5 stars), but the res of the movie is childish, cliched, over-dramatic, inconsistent, lost and poorly acted.
I'd give the rest of it 1 1/2 stars, which is a shame, really. So much wasted potential.
