Review of The Believer (2001) by Lee B — 08 Feb 2011
The movie tries too hard to find it's mark, and in the end it altogether misses everything spectacularly. Ryan Gosling's performances is outstanding however, showing his technical talent to uphold a bad film from becoming boring.
The first half of the film is pretty tense and rather good, but the last half of the film dissolves into chaos with several plot holes that obviously obstruct us from watching the film properly. This is a great example of a good idea executed badly.
