Review of The Beguiled (2017) by Kim T — 03 Jul 2017
I was so excited to see this movie. It flowed so well and then it just ended. I felt it fell a bit short and there should have been more "meat" to it. But I will say the acting was phenomenal! Nicole Kidman was perfect at playing strict, cold and protective. Elle was fantastic as a tart and the younger girls were so amazing. I keep getting duped by Sofia's movies.
Update: I watched the 1971 Clint Eastwood version on HBO last night. Now this movie was everything I wanted Sofia's movie to be. There were details and build-up to climatic events. You really saw how he manipulated the ladies - even his new best friend Amy.
