Review of The Beguiled (2017) by Nashid A — 15 Jul 2017
Set in the deep south during the civil war, this gorgeously shot movie tells the story of what happens to a convent of women when a handsome, smooth-talking, injured Yankee soldier ends up in their midst.
The subtle changes to their outlook on the war, the human instincts and the survival mechanisms are wonderfully portrayed by tight-knot performances all around. Definitely worth the watch.
