Review of The Beguiled (1971) by James Staci S — 25 Jun 2008
I worship this movie for 3 reasons: 1) This is one of Elizabeth Hartman's (one of my favorite actresses) stellar performances. 2) The Gothic story behind what seems a harmless group of fine young women is magnetic.
3) It was courageous to feature a Macabre scene that may raise eyebrows at that time. One of my films in my collection.
