This story is about "Chan Dai Lek" (main character) who lost his parents when he was small and then being brought up and been taught in Kung Fu by the Beggar legend "Cheong Dai Hap" to help those who are poor and weak. As Dai Lek grows up, he made some beggar friends who are in difficulties, namely "Da Zhi" and "Satay" , also the daughter of the head gangster "Guo Fei" and they have built a very good rapport. Together, they have living the same point of view in life that "Nothing is impossible". On the other hand, there is a beggar group from "Lan Jie Bang" which discovered the great abilities of Dai Lek and decided to make him to become the leader of the group. In the end, because of the brutal power of the black society which constantly controlling, exploiting and mistreating the beggars, Dai Lek is then unleashed his heroism and make a stand for the sake of his love and his friends which then leads to triumph. Hence, he is the beggar hero.
