Review of The Beaver (2011) by Brian S — 11 Apr 2013
The performances in The Beaver are really top notch, and arguably Oscar-worthy. There are some minor plot holes, but the premise is an undoubtedly unique and effective one. The message on mental health/depression and being happy is crystal clear.
I think it's only fitting that Mel Gibson was cast in this role of a man plagued by his past and present social and mental instabilities; sometimes you wonder if he's even acting (I joke...sort of).
