This movie did not get a fair shake and it's obvious why...namely an amazing actor who can't hold his liquor, gets very angry, and then spews some awful things. Now, if he was a rap music artist or a self-appointed civil rights leader, all would be forgiven, but he's not. I'm not judging anyone for judging Mel Gibson because I do the same thing with some other actors, musicians, performers, etc...
This is an amazing, yet unsettling, and sometimes bizarre film, but well worth it.
