Review of The Beaver (2011) by Gavin P — 19 Sep 2012
Interesting and deep concept, but not really pulled off too well. It's all rather depressing and Mel Gibson just sounds weird and like he doesn't really have a good reason to be depressed - two kids, a loving wife, good job & nice house - oohhh, tough life! Some interesting moments - especially what happens to 'The Beaver', but the relationship between Lawrence & Yelchin is almost more interesting, since not too much else happens in the whole movie! Not really funny at all, so it definitely shouldn't be calling itself a "drama-comedy".
