Review of The Beautiful Country (2004) by Tom C — 10 Mar 2007

A movie which moves beyond American post-Vietnam angst, "The Beautiful Country" speaks to the acts of horrid cruelty and beautiful kindness which people can do when pursuing their dreams to the point of obsession.
These rich characters address the question , "What are the many nuances of love?" - maternal compassion, loyalty, lust, or simply convenience?
