Review of The Beastmaster (1982) by Codie E — 15 Mar 2010
I would advise one friend in particular to look away now (ahem, Mard).
Without the grit of Conan, the charm and adventure of Willow, the perversity of Verhoeven's Flesh + Blood or even the production design of Legend, Don Coscarelli's camp piece is poor from start to finish. Script, performances, cinematography, costumes, everything. But, it is fun and amusing to watch the ridiculous story unfold.
