Review of The Beastmaster (1982) by Bryan M — 04 May 2012
Swords, sorcery and ferrets. Having become the butt of many jokes in the US the movie is still pretty well regarded over the ocean and holds fond memories for many of us who watched it back in the day. The 80's movie ethics are somehow refreshing where characters have real peril and consequences to their actions. How they use animals you can only imagine would be impossible today with big cats walking around the stars and ferrets putting themselves in constant movie peril.
Hugely fun and a guilty pleasure when played back to back with Ladyhawke.
