Review of The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961) by Jeff B — 08 Oct 2011
The problem here is this film is awfull but its not quite awfull enough to be a truly hilarious movie. Theres loads of elements there to help, crap acting, no script, nothing much of anything really! But its just not quite crap enough as daft as that sounds.
The narrator is hilarious thou and gets the film going. Tor Johnson bless just walks around looking very tired, probably all that blooming walking. thats all people do here walk aimlessly through the deasert added with scenes of poor car crashes and a plane attack lol! The atomic waste that changes tor does not seem to add anything for him other than a scar.
He ends up trying to throttle people aside from one woman who keeps in a cave for some reason! He tries to throttle loads of people then gets shot loads of times. then he dies and a rabbit nibbles him and he comes back to life, strokes the rabbit then dies or comes back to life? I dont really know hes breathing even when hes meant to be dead! Either way its only an hour so its funny enough just not a classic in my eyes.
