Review of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953) by Matthew R — 11 Jan 2008
Inspired by Ray Bradbury's short story, The Fog Horn and featuring superb stop-motion animation by Ray Harryhausen, The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms hasn't aged particularly well but can still be appreciated and enjoyed as a competent '50s B-Movie creature-feature.
Using a similar plotline, this may be one of the stimulators for the new J.J. Abrams monster film, Cloverfield.
