I wish this movie would have ended differently. Well, I think Richard should have spoken up about his encounter with Sal since it didn't really seem like he was given a choice in the matter when it happened.

However, I also think Richard should have been seen as the bad guy versus Sal in the end since he is the one who led other people to the Island, lied about it, and was the cause of the issues with the farmers.

I feel Sal, as the leader, was completely in the right with the final scene and, with him living, gave him and the rest of the family the opportunity to learn from a lesson and start over. Oh well...that's why it wasn't my movie.
