Review of The Beach (2000) by Mad C — 17 Mar 2012
The Beach seems to recieve a universally mixed reaction but I personally enjoyed it. The inspiring first half of the film was done well as was the brutal second half of the film. Well directed as always by Danny Boyle and Leo Dicaprio was great as the lead.
The island scenery is well shot and really does look like paradise and the soundtrack is very well suiting throughout. I did not/have not real the novel the film is based on but from a storyline point of view some of the decision making by Dicaprio's character left me seriously bemused.
