Kind of a Blue Lagoon meets Lord of the Flies with some Apocolypse Now and Jaws as well as a bit of hedonistic pleasure palace philosophy thrown in. Just when it really started to get interesting (the shark attack) and show some real potential, it sinks back down into mediocrity.
The second unit work during the end credits looks great, but isn't worth sitting through the movie.
