Lets get one thign straight about this movie, it is not a horror film at all. It is more of a fake documentary with some creepy looking images but nothing that really shows itself as a horror movie. But that should'nt stop you from watching this movie.

Knowing that this is another found-footage movie, I pretty much expect to see the same old thing in every found-footage film. What really surprised me was the entire scope of this movie. Barry Levinson really makes use of every single type of camera available to him to make it seem like it is an epidemic and people from al walks of life are affected in this movie and how their lives intertwine in this situation.

From underwater cameras to the camera on an Iphone to security cameras, I was really intrigued by this use of camera techniques. The only other film to have done this right is "Chronicle". The acting is ok, nothing bad, nothing to write home about either, with the editing and pacing pretty much te strong suit here.

Even th background story of the impact against nature is really true on the subject matter at hand. With the science of the infection having some substantial basis and not being completely false. Even after the movie I went online to check out the creatures that were mentioned in the movie and I was pleasently surprised.

It actually does seem like somthing that would happen if we do not take care of out surroundings and the world that we live in. All in all it is a pretty entertaining thrill ride with some intricate use of the cameras, where it disappoints however is in the scares department.
