I love the character of Batman, who he is inspired to be and all. Crime fighter slash detective but this movie does it half baked....
One thing I absolutely loved about the Nolan trilogy is that you can actually separate Batman from Bruce Wayne....
In this movie, there is none of it.
90% of the time he is in the suit. There is no preview of how Bruce is dealing with living a double life. At the beginning, when Alfred appears for the first time, and tells Bruce about how people from his firm are coming to visit and they straight up cut that and go back to solving riddles.... Why ? I want to see consequences to his actions ! In the final act, Riddler magically knows who Batman is, leaving you to figure out how... I understand that Batman, that particular aspect of the older movies was controversial but Reeves should have put more of Bruce in there...
From the trailers, I expected from the movie to explore more of his emotions and thoughts but at the end utter disappointment...
For the 3 hours I watched, most of it was beating around the bush and dragging along until the end...
