I always considered Leo to be one of my favorite actors, especially in his performance in The Departed and Blood Diamond, but I didn't know how mature of an actor he was at such a young age when he did this movie.

I thought this movie was going to be mainly about Leo playing basketball for the team and winning the championship. But I did not expect the movie to be about the downward spiral in his life as he goes through a path of hard drugs and alcohol.

The last scene is especially vivid, as Leo's acting is especially authentic and looks like he's really into that emotional state. There's only a few memorable movie scenes that I can recall and that one scene will always be implanted in my mind.
