Review of The Basketball Diaries (1995) by Brendan N — 29 Jan 2010
Dark and gritty this is one of the better indie films to come out. it was savaged by critics but this slowly growed into a cult film that is loved by the people the filmmakers made it for.
A labour of love showing the spiral downfall of drugs on the individual and family. insightful and powerful this is definately on film you shouldn't miss. great cast of unknowns for the time creating one film that lies underrated in the darkness.
