In spite of having underdevelopment, some editing faults, underused characters, hard-to-follow points and a few other problems, "The Basketball Diaries" is a hauntingly powerful drama that has incredible acting, very strong characters, good directing, stunningly powerful moments of emotion and many more pros.
Its a hard-hitting underspoken masterpiece.
