Review of The Barefoot Contessa (1954) by Sara D — 27 Nov 2007
I never knew this movie existed until last week, and I'm very glad I found it. As always, Humphrey Bogart is amazing, and Ava Gardner is so beautiful. It's not the average early '50s Hollywood movie.
There's a twist at the end that you really don't see coming. If you liked the way that Citizen Kane is told with the multiple narrators piecing a story together for you, you'll enjoy the way this story is told.
It's completely worth the time.
