Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Ritchie S — 31 Mar 2008
89 minutes of wry and sweet film making; an Egyptian Police Band gets lost on a cultural visit to Isreal, they end up in a no where village and get "adopted" by Dina who runs the cafe and her pals, Itzhak and Papi.
Bitter sweet and insightful, this is a delight of cross cultural film making, made even sweeter because its from the Middle East.
