Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Paula B — 20 Jun 2008
A lovely, touching little film from Isreal. There's really no narrative arc, but that makes this all the more worth savoring. With not one bad performance and a soulful, human touch by first-time writer/director Eran Kolirin, this quieter-than-quiet comedy finds the human ground we all walk on together, no matter what our cultures or differences are.
Wonderful.
