A sweet movie about the kindness - and essential similarity - of strangers. I tend to romanticize the idea of life in other countries and cultures, but movies like this set me straight. Life in an Israeli high-rise immigrant settlement is quite drab, and the roller rink scene brought back memories - even the very smells - of the military teen clubs I used to hang around at, growing up.
Did I say it was a sweet movie? It's more than that. It's touching.
