Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Fred R — 30 Jun 2009
The Alexandria Police Ceremonial Orchestra arrive in Israel for a concert and mistakenly end up in a small, drab desert town called Bet Hatikva. It is a charming film with wry humour and pathos. This is a quiet movie about the awkwardness and loneliness of being out of place and out of rythym.
