Review of The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) by Frannorthstar — 09 Jan 2019
Back in the Saddle.
The Coens struck thank God, after ‘Hail Caesar’, their usual cord with another Western only bettered by ‘True Grit’, while as a whole, ‘Raising Arizona’ and ‘Burn After Reading’ truly Brad Pitt’s worth in his finest role being authentic as actors act best in their own existence of actually who they really are, coming close, though RA probably their best work ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ surprising at times rendered a question or two certainly for the last of the six-part Western anthology,"The Mortal Remains”, yet the script for all stood complete and of course camera work astounding.
