Review of The Ball at the Anjo House (1947) by Winnie F — 04 Sep 2007
A post-war Japan film shot with a great heart - beautiful camera works and a family setting worth comparing with Orson Welles' "The Magnificent Ambersons". Yoshimura is a director worth rediscovering.
Star Yoshimura ??? became Ozu's best cast.
